VMware Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Customer Engagement

Migration Expertise: Lead end-to-end VMware-to-cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-to-VMware repatriation projects. Architecture & Design: Deliver technical leadership on hybrid cloud architectures, disaster recovery solutions, and infrastructure optimization. Customer Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and IT leaders on VMware strategies, roadmaps, and best practices. Proof of Concepts: Design and execute technical POCs and demos to highlight VMware

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

VMware Mastery: 8+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 8.x (ESXi & vCenter), VMware Aria, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud technologies. Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with strong migration experience. Migration Tools: Proficiency with VMware Cloud Foundation, HCX, CloudHealth, Turbonomic, and other migration tools. Infrastructure Technologies: Strong background in networking, storage, security, and data center operations. Automation: Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), configuration management, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher. Major cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect). ITIL, PMP, or other project management certifications.

Specialized Skills

Kubernetes and container orchestration experience. Disaster recovery & business continuity planning. Hybrid cloud & multi-cloud strategies. Cost optimization and FinOps methodologies. This is custom heading element
