Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
VMware & Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure Support Engineer
to manage and support enterprise
converged and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms
. The role involves L3-level support, infrastructure planning, performance optimization, and close coordination with OEMs and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for
converged and hyperconverged infrastructure
, including provisioning, new deployments, planning, and capacity expansion.
Ensure maximum
uptime and performance
of SAN infrastructure and converged platforms.
Handle
L3 escalations
from L2 teams and client escalations to ensure timely resolution.
Analyze monitoring data from
Storage, RecoverPoint, UCS, and vCenter
to recommend improvements in performance, security, and utilization.
Plan and recommend
infrastructure modifications or additional equipment
to meet capacity and performance needs.
Perform advanced
troubleshooting
to maintain high availability and system performance.
Coordinate with
OEM vendors
for hardware replacement, advanced troubleshooting, and code/firmware upgrades.
Manage
day-to-day operations
, including BMC ticket handling and SLA-based closures.
Work closely with multiple technical teams and stakeholders to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Plan and implement infrastructure changes and
raise RFCs
as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in
VMware and Hyperconverged Infrastructure support
Strong hands-on experience with
VMware ESXi and vCenter
Experience with
Nutanix AHV
Knowledge of
virtual machine networking
Hands-on exposure to
Blade Servers and Fibre Interconnects
Strong troubleshooting skills and operational expertise
Experience handling
