Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Server Administrator with solid hands-on expertise in VMware virtualization, backup management, high availability setups, and enterprise networking. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum system uptime, data protection, and optimal performance of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain VMware vSphere / ESXi environments, including virtual machines, templates, clusters, and storage.

Implement, monitor, and manage High Availability (HA), vMotion, and DRS configurations.

Manage server hardware (Dell / HP / Lenovo) including provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance.

Oversee backup and disaster recovery operations using tools like Veeam, Acronis, or Commvault.

Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across all servers and network devices.

Administer Windows Server / Linux systems including patch management, user access, and security policies.

Ensure network reliability by managing firewalls, switches, VLANs, and routing configurations in collaboration with the network team.

Maintain data center operations, documentation, and configuration management records.

Support business continuity by ensuring redundancy and uptime across mission-critical systems.

Participate in incident response and provide root-cause analysis for major system issues.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter (installation, configuration, and management).

Expertise in Backup & Recovery solutions (Veeam, Acronis, Commvault, etc.).

Solid understanding of HA & DR concepts and clustering technologies.

Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and IP routing.

Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and/or Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration.

Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI).

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certification.

Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Administrator.

Experience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / VMware Cloud).

Exposure to monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, or SolarWinds.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
