Unitek Engineering, a leading precision CNC turning and milling company based in Bangalore, is looking for a skilled and experienced

VMC Setter

to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) with a deep understanding of tooling, fixture setup, and component accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up VMC machines according to job requirements, drawings, and tool paths Load programs and make necessary offsets and corrections as per component tolerances Select appropriate tools, chucks, and fixtures for various materials and job types Perform first piece inspection and ensure part conformity using measuring instruments Coordinate with programmers, operators, and QA teams to ensure optimal machining results Maintain cleanliness, safety, and preventive maintenance of machines

Qualifications & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a VMC Setter

in a precision machining setup Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T Familiar with usage of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, Vernier calipers, and bore gauges Exposure to Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls preferred
