Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated

VMC Setter & Operator

to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Set up VMC machines with the correct tools, holders, fixtures, and job programs. Operate the machine and monitor machining parameters to ensure stable and accurate cutting. Interpret engineering drawings, tool lists, and job instructions accurately. Perform job setting, work offset setting, tool offset entry, and trial cuts. Inspect machined components using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc. Maintain tool offsets, adjust parameters, and ensure dimensional accuracy throughout production. Record production details, inspection results, and tool changes in job sheets or ERP. Follow safety procedures, 5S standards, and maintain a clean work environment around the machine. Report tool wear, tool breakage, dimensional deviations, or machine abnormalities to the supervisor immediately. Perform basic preventive maintenance checks and assist in troubleshooting when required.

Requirements

3 to 10 years of experience as a VMC Setter / Operator in a machining or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, offsets, and inspection instruments. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or other CNC controllers is an advantage. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. Willingness to work in shifts and meet production timelines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
