Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Setting up VMC machines:

This includes interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and setting up workpieces and fixtures.

Operating VMC machines:

This involves loading materials, running the machine according to instructions, and monitoring the machining process.

Ensuring quality:

This includes inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications, and making adjustments as needed.

Maintaining machines:

This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the machines are in good working order.

Following safety procedures:

This includes adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Documenting production data:

This includes recording production information, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

Technical knowledge:

Understanding of CNC machining principles, VMC machine operation, and blueprint reading.

Mechanical aptitude:

Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and tools.

Attention to detail:

Ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.

Problem-solving skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues with machine operation or production.

Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively with other team members, including programmers, engineers, and other operators.

Experience:

Prior experience as a VMC or CNC operator is often required.

Safety awareness:

Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
