Job Overview:

The VMC Setter cum Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to manufacture precision components and fixtures as per design and quality standards. The role ensures productivity, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to safety and process standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup & Operation:

Set up and operate VMC machines as per job requirements and drawings. Load tools, fixtures, and workpieces accurately and securely. Perform program offsets, tool changes, and minor program edits if required.

Fixture Manufacturing:

Interpret 2D drawings and 3D models for fixture components. Ensure machining dimensions and tolerances are maintained. Assist in assembly fitment verification of machined fixture parts.

Quality & Inspection:

Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Dial gauge, etc.). Ensure first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks. Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards.

Maintenance & Housekeeping:

Perform daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance. Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, fixtures, and workspace.

Safety & Process Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) and production documentation.

Pay: ₹15,698.23 - ₹34,850.52 per month
