Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

VMC Programmer

with hands-on experience using

Delcam software

(PowerMILL / FeatureCAM) to program Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and edit CNC programs using

Delcam PowerMILL / FeatureCAM

for VMC operations. Interpret 2D and 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical blueprints. Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting paths to optimize machining operations. Perform trial runs and simulations to validate programs and make necessary adjustments. Collaborate with machine operators to ensure accurate setup and troubleshoot machining issues. Ensure programs meet quality standards, dimensional tolerances, and surface finishes. Continuously improve machining processes to reduce cycle time and waste. Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and revisions. Provide support in tool selection and fixture design when needed.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a VMC Programmer using

Delcam

software. Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Proficient in CAM software (Delcam) and understanding of G-code. Familiar with various materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) and their machining properties. Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and precision. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with 3D surface machining and complex contour programming. Familiarity with other CAM or CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Exposure to ISO standards and production documentation practices.
