Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

VMC Operator

to set up, operate, and maintain CNC Vertical Machining Centers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machine setup, tool changes, part programming (basic level), and quality inspection to ensure products meet technical specifications and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate

VMC machines

according to production schedules and job specifications. Interpret and understand

engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets

. Load and unload components and perform

machine offsets and tool changes

as required. Perform

basic programming and editing

of CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls). Ensure

first-piece inspection

and maintain

quality standards

during production runs. Monitor machine performance, detect malfunctions, and perform basic troubleshooting. Maintain proper records of production, inspection reports, and machine logs. Follow

safety procedures and housekeeping

standards at all times. Collaborate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and maintenance teams to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

2-5 years of experience operating VMC machines in a manufacturing setup.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M codes. Experience with measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Familiar with tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture setup.

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and quality focus. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Basic computer knowledge for data entry and reporting.

Preferred Experience (Optional):

Experience in

HAAS, Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak

control systems. Exposure to

CAD/CAM

software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM). Knowledge of

5S, Kaizen, or Lean Manufacturing

principles.

Work Environment:

Factory / Shop floor environment. May involve shift duties as per production requirements.

Compensation:

As per company norms / industry standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
