Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled

VMC Operator

to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have

at least 10 years of hands-on experience

in operating, setting, and programming Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). This role requires in-depth knowledge of machining processes, manual programming, and the ability to efficiently handle multiple machines to meet production targets with precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently

set up, operate, and program

VMC machines as per production requirements. Perform

manual programming

using G & M codes directly on the machine control panel. Interpret and work from

engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets

to produce components within tolerance.

Optimize machining parameters

to achieve the best balance of quality, accuracy, and productivity. Manage and operate

multiple VMC machines simultaneously

when required. Conduct

tool setup, offsets, and calibration

for different machining operations. Ensure

routine maintenance

of machines and tools for optimal performance. Inspect finished components using measuring instruments like

micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges

, etc. Collaborate with the production and quality teams to ensure

adherence to specifications

and resolve machining issues. Maintain

5S, safety, and quality standards

on the shop floor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years

of proven experience as a VMC Operator/Programmer. Strong knowledge of

CNC controls

(Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi or equivalent). Proficient in

manual G-code programming

and editing. Ability to

set up fixtures, jigs, and tools

independently. Experience in

multi-machine handling

and process optimization. Sound understanding of

engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T)

. Excellent attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work

independently

as well as part of a team.

Education:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Tool & Die Making (or equivalent qualification).
