Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

VMC Milling Machine Operator

to operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) and produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine operations, technical drawings, and quality standards, and be capable of working with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

2+ years operating

VMC machines

in a precision manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Proficiency in CNC/VMC operations and tool offsets. Familiarity with G-code and M-code (basic level). Knowledge of machining parameters and tool life optimization. Attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude. Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain production logs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Mitsubishi controllers. Basic knowledge of CAM software (optional). Exposure to ISO quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate

VMC milling machines

to perform machining operations per specifications. Interpret

engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models

to understand component dimensions and tolerances. Load raw materials and secure workpieces on the machine. Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures. Monitor machine operations to detect issues and ensure product quality. Perform

in-process inspection

using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges). Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools. Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to improve production efficiency. Maintain accurate production records and follow safety and quality procedures.
Collaborate with quality and production teams to meet output targets and deadlines.
