Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

VMC Machinist

with hands-on expertise in operating and setting Vertical Machining Centers. The candidate will be responsible for precision machining of components as per drawings and ensuring quality output within defined tolerances.

Responsibilities:

Operate and set up

Vertical Machining Centers (VMC)

. Read and interpret

engineering drawings, CAD models, and process sheets

. Prepare machine setup, including

tool selection, fixture setting, and workpiece alignment

. Perform

offset corrections, program adjustments, and minor troubleshooting

. Carry out

precision machining operations

as per specifications. Monitor machining processes and ensure components meet

dimensional accuracy and surface finish

. Conduct

basic preventive maintenance

of machines and tools. Ensure adherence to

safety standards and shop floor discipline

. Collaborate with quality inspectors to resolve any dimensional or quality issues.

Requirements:

Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical, Production, or relevant field.

2-5 years' experience

in VMC machine operation and setting. Knowledge of

Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls

(as applicable). Ability to use

measuring instruments

(Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, CMM knowledge preferred). Hands-on experience in

tool offsets, program editing, and fixture setups

. Understanding of

cutting parameters for different materials

(mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.). Basic knowledge of CNC programming is an added advantage.
