Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: ITI / Diploma

Experience: 0-3 years (Freshers with training can also apply).

Job Purpose:

To operate CNC machines efficiently to produce components as per drawings and customer specifications while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

Operate CNC Turning / VMC / HMC / VTL machines as assigned.

Load raw materials (castings, billets, rods) and set workpieces as per setup sheet.

Run the machine by selecting programs, tools, and parameters provided by the programmer or setter.

2. First Piece & In-Process Inspection

Check the first component with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.).

Conduct regular in-process inspection as per control plan and record results.

Ensure dimensions are within tolerance before continuing production.

3. Tool & Offset Management

Adjust tool offsets based on inspection results.

Monitor tool wear and inform setter/engineer when tools need replacement.

Ensure correct tool number and program selection before cycle start.

4. Production & Efficiency

Achieve daily production targets as per the plan.

Reduce idle time by following proper loading/unloading methods.

Maintain cycle time consistency and avoid unnecessary machine stoppages.

5. Machine & Workplace Maintenance

Perform daily cleaning of machine, coolant check, oil level check, and minor maintenance tasks.

Maintain 5S standards around the machine area.

Immediately report any machine abnormal sounds, vibrations, or issues.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Update production logs, inspection reports, and tool change records.

Report rejections, deviations, and breakdowns to supervisors.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Coimbatore Industrial Estate, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
