1. Develop differentiated system by understanding the system structure and optimally designing signal processing algorithms.
2. Understand technologies essential for service and design optimal signal processing algorithms.
3. Develop optimal system that integrates service and application by applying system software.
Role and Responsibilities
1. [System architecture] Design optimal system by considering elements such as performance, scalability, cost and electricity consumption (consider both hardware and software).
2. [Designing of application algorithms] Analyze data properties and design optimal application algorithms using adequate signal processing techniques according to service requests.
3. [Application software implementation] Develop software optimized for application algorithm.
4. [System software] Understand requirement analysis and development framework and design the planning, developing, inspecting, maintaining and managing application development.
5. [Technology strategy] Devise strategy to secure technology, discover new technologies, and set and adhere to technology standards.
Skills and Qualifications
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Design, and develop Physical layer functions for beyond 5G and 6G modem systems.
2. Development of high PHY based on O-RAN in the cloud environment using CPUs, GPUs or programmable FPGAs.
3. Implement the eCPRI interfaces to communicate between High PHY and Low PHY following O-RAN Open-Front Haul standard.
4. Optimize the PHY layer modules to execute faster on different platforms: CPUs, GPUs.
5. Make comparative analysis and research on the different platforms and approaches, make a decision of platform and design choice.
6. Contribute to Samsung Intellectual Property (patents, tech papers) from the experiments and analysis done from the project.
7. Work together with internal members of vRAN, L2 protocol stack and embedded system SW for product integration.
