We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Video/Reel Editor Intern to assist our team in creating compelling video content for various platforms, primarily focusing on short-form videos and reels for social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, etc.). The intern will work closely with our marketing and content teams to bring our ideas to life through dynamic and visually appealing edits.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the entire video editing process, from raw footage to final output. Edit short-form videos and reels for social media platforms, ensuring they are engaging, on-brand, and optimized for each platform. Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, and text overlays effectively. Collaborate with the content team to understand project requirements and creative briefs. Ensure consistency in visual style, branding, and messaging across all video content. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in video editing, social media, and short-form video content. Organize and archive video footage and project files efficiently. Provide creative input and suggestions for video content improvement. Assist with other multimedia tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Mass Communication, Film Production, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, InShot). Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) is a plus. Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and an eye for trending content. Basic understanding of video production principles (framing, lighting, audio). Creative mindset with an ability to tell stories through visuals. Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. A portfolio or samples of previous video editing work (even personal projects) are highly encouraged.
