Key Responsibilities:
Capture and edit raw video footage into polished final products, including trimming, color correction, sound editing, and adding graphics or effects.
using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
Add graphics, animations, subtitles, and sound effects to enhance engagement.
Ensure videos align with institutional branding and communication standards.
Content Development
Collaborate with faculty, students, and administration to conceptualize video projects.
Develop short-form content for social media platforms and long-form content for academic archives.
Maintain a video library for institutional use.
Technical & Administrative
Collaborate with content creators, faculty, and staff to understand project goals and deliver engaging video content.
Manage and organize media assets, file storage, and project archives.
Add subtitles, lower-thirds, intros/outros, and branding elements consistent with college standards.
Export videos in multiple formats optimized for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram, website, etc.).
Assist in recording video, including setting up lights, cameras, and audio equipment.
Ensure all video content adheres to the college's branding and accessibility guidelines.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Strong understanding of editing techniques, pacing, and visual storytelling.
Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and audio equipment.
Familiarity with college or educational environments.
Understanding of video content best practices for social media platforms.
