Job Description

As a Videographer and Editor at Catalysta, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and engaging video content to support our digital marketing campaigns. The role involves conceptualizing, shooting, and editing videos that align with our brand identity and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong creative vision, technical proficiency in videography and editing software, and a keen understanding of storytelling through visual media.

Responsibilities:

Video Production:

Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for various digital platforms. Develop concepts and storyboards for video projects. Ensure all video content aligns with the brand and marketing goals.

Editing and Post-Production:

Edit raw footage into polished and engaging videos, incorporating graphics, music, and other elements. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistency in brand messaging across all visual content. Stay updated on industry trends and editing techniques.

Equipment Management:

Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition. Troubleshoot technical issues during video shoots.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing team to understand project requirements and objectives. Collaborate with graphic designers, writers, and other team members to ensure cohesive multimedia content.

Storyboarding and Pre-production:

Create storyboards and shot lists for video projects. Assist in pre-production tasks, including location scouting and talent coordination.

Content Optimization:

Adapt videos for different platforms and formats, optimizing for social media, websites, and other digital channels. Stay informed about best practices in video content optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field. Proven experience as a videographer and editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse video projects. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of storytelling, composition, and visual aesthetics. Knowledge of camera operation, lighting techniques, and audio recording. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
