Job Description

We are looking for a

creative and technically skilled Video Editor

to join our digital news production team. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of storytelling, visual composition, and AI-based editing tools to enhance video productivity and visual appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit and assemble recorded raw material into polished, engaging news videos suitable for YouTube. Add motion graphics, transitions, captions, and visual effects to improve storytelling. Work closely with the news scripting and voiceover teams to ensure cohesive video output. Optimize videos for YouTube (thumbnails, aspect ratio, intro/outro, pacing, etc.). Stay updated with trending visual styles, sound design, and YouTube content strategies. Utilize

AI-powered video tools

(e.g., Runway ML, Descript, Pika Labs, Synthesia, CapCut AI, etc.) to streamline editing. Manage project timelines and deliver content within daily publishing deadlines. Ensure all video content aligns with brand tone, design standards, and copyright guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in

video editing

for YouTube or digital media platforms. Proficiency in editing software such as

Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Desktop

. Familiarity with

AI editing tools

and automation platforms. Strong sense of visual storytelling, timing, and pacing. Ability to create thumbnails, lower thirds, and motion text. Knowledge of YouTube SEO and video publishing best practices. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in news, journalism, or social media video production. Understanding of voice-over syncing and subtitling. Creative approach to editing news stories for viewer engagement. Basic knowledge of AI voice and caption tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, Whisper, Veed.io).
