Job Description

A Video Editor is responsible for turning raw video footage into a polished, engaging final video. The role focuses on storytelling, visual quality, and meeting the purpose of the content (marketing, social media, films, education, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Edit raw video footage into finished videos Cut, trim, and arrange clips in a logical sequence Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, and background audio Apply color correction and basic visual effects Add text, captions, subtitles, and transitions Ensure video quality, resolution, and format are correct Follow brand guidelines and client requirements Meet deadlines and revise videos based on feedback

Skills Required

Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects) Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation (optional but valuable) Understanding of storytelling and pacing Audio syncing and sound balancing skills Creativity and attention to detail
