Video Editor & Videographer

to create high-quality, informative, and engaging educational video content for our YouTube channel. This role is crucial for communicating our mission and providing valuable resources to parents, caregivers, and professionals in the autism community. You will be responsible for both

shooting/production

and

expert post-production editing

.

Compensation & Details

Starting Monthly Pay:

?20,000

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Post-Production



Educational Storytelling:

Edit long-form educational videos, interviews, and short-form content (YouTube Shorts) from raw footage, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and emotional resonance.

Professional Polish:

Execute all post-production tasks, including

color correction, precise audio mixing

(cleaning up dialogue, balancing music/voiceovers), and applying clean, professional visual effects.

Information Delivery:

Utilize clean

motion graphics, text overlays, and graphic treatments

to highlight key facts, statistics, and educational points within the videos.

Platform Optimization:

Ensure all final videos are correctly formatted and optimized for YouTube's technical standards (e.g., aspect ratios, metadata suggestions, appealing thumbnails/end screens).

Feedback Integration:

Efficiently implement feedback from the content and clinical teams to achieve the desired tone and educational outcome.

Videography & Production



Shooting:

Serve as the primary

videographer

for shoots, primarily focused on capturing content with our subject matter experts (SMEs) and content creators.

Technical Setup:

Proficiently set up and operate video, professional lighting, and sound equipment (e.g., lav mics, boom mics) to achieve high-quality, clear footage and audio essential for educational content.

Pre-Production:

Assist in planning shoots, generating simple storyboards, and preparing all necessary gear to ensure a smooth, efficient production day.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Editing Mastery:

Advanced proficiency

in professional video editing software (

e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve

).

Videography Fundamentals:

Strong working knowledge of camera operation, basic lighting setups (three-point lighting), and audio recording techniques.

Portfolio Requirement:

A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in editing

educational, documentary, or interview-style content

.

Motion Graphics:

Competency in creating and integrating lower thirds and simple graphics (knowledge of

Adobe After Effects

is highly desirable).

Soft Skills:

Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Passion for the Mission (Preferred):

A genuine interest in special needs education or the autism community is a significant plus. English proficiency is a must.
