Job Description

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented

Video Editor with expertise in CGI editing

to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling raw footage, integrating CGI and visual effects, polishing edits, and delivering high-quality video content that aligns with project goals and brand standards. This role involves collaboration with directors, animators, designers, and other creative professionals throughout the post-production process.

Key Responsibilities

Edit and assemble video footage into finished productions that meet technical standards and creative vision. Integrate

CGI elements, visual effects, motion graphics, and 3D renders

into live-action and animated video projects. Perform compositing of CGI layers with real footage, including motion tracking, masking, and camera adjustments. Apply

color grading, lighting adjustments, depth-of-field effects, lens flares, and atmospheric enhancements

to achieve cinematic quality. Incorporate sound design elements--music, effects, dialogue syncing--and finalize audio mix. Collaborate with creative and production teams to understand project requirements and deliver on brief. Maintain organized project files, version control, and archive completed work. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging CGI tools, and editing techniques to continually improve output.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience

as a video editor with

CGI and VFX editing

experience in post-production. Strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating work with CGI, visual effects, and cinematic editing. Proficiency with editing and CGI software such as

Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, Blender or similar tools

. Solid understanding of editing workflows, pacing, storytelling, transitions, and visual continuity. Experience with visual effects, compositing, and motion graphics. Strong

color grading

and

audio editing/syncing

skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent attention to detail and time-management to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Animation, Visual Effects, Multimedia, or related field. Experience with advanced CGI integration tools (e.g., Nuke, Maya) and 3D pipelines. Background in storytelling, cinematic short films, or commercial post-production.
