As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, polished videos that communicate our brand's message, engage viewers, and drive results. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of visual storytelling, an eye for detail, and advanced proficiency in editing software.
You will work closely with our creative, marketing, and content teams to produce a wide range of videos--ranging from promotional content and social media reels to interviews, tutorials, and branded short-form and long-form videos. Key Responsibilities
Edit raw footage into high-quality videos for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and websites.
Cut, trim, and assemble video sequences to ensure logical flow and creative storytelling.
Add sound effects, background music, voiceovers, and graphic elements to enhance the final video.
Work with motion graphics and basic animation (e.g., titles, lower thirds, transitions).
Collaborate with the creative and content teams to understand project objectives and deliver videos that align with the brand's tone and messaging.
Manage and organize video assets and project files for efficient workflow and retrieval.
Color correct and color grade footage to ensure visual consistency and mood.
Stay updated with current trends in video production, editing techniques, social media content, and viral formats.
Optimize videos for different platforms and resolutions.
Handle revisions based on team or client feedback while maintaining video quality and style.
Ensure timely delivery of all video projects while managing multiple deadlines.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio or showreel.
Proficiency in professional editing software such as:
Adobe Premiere Pro
After Effects
Final Cut Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Adobe Audition (for audio editing, optional)
Strong understanding of post-production techniques including cutting, transitions, pacing, and audio syncing.
Ability to enhance visual storytelling through sound, music, and graphical elements.
Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a strong plus.
Familiarity with different aspect ratios and video formats optimized for social media (e.g., 1:1, 9:16, 16:9).
Good sense of timing, rhythm, and visual composition.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to take creative direction and constructive feedback.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
[Optional] A degree or diploma in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
