Role Overview

The

Video Editor

will be responsible for transforming raw footage into captivating visual stories. You'll work on a mix of projects -- from

YouTube videos

and

brand films

to

social media reels

-- collaborating with creative directors and editors to deliver visually stunning and engaging outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Organize Footage:

Download, label, and organize files from cameras, drives, or servers.

Rough & Fine Editing:

Create story-driven edits, refine pacing, and finalize professional-quality videos.

Add Graphics, Effects & Audio:

Incorporate transitions, background music, subtitles, SFX, and motion graphics.

Color Correction & Grading:

Adjust tones, balance color, and apply grading based on project theme.

Versioning & Exporting:

Deliver final videos in various resolutions and formats for web and social media.

Feedback & Revisions:

Apply internal and client feedback efficiently to meet creative goals.

Collaboration:

Work closely with directors, creative heads, and marketing teams for project alignment.

File Management:

Maintain, backup, and archive all project files systematically.

YouTube & Social Media Edits:

Create engaging edits optimized for YouTube, Instagram, and short-form content.

Stay Updated:

Keep up with editing trends, new tools, and storytelling techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in

video editing

. Proficiency in

Adobe Premiere Pro

,

After Effects

, or

DaVinci Resolve

. Strong storytelling, pacing, and visual composition skills. Understanding of sound design, transitions, and video aesthetics. Basic knowledge of

YouTube video optimization

and

social media content formats

. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Bonus Skills (Preferred)

Familiarity with

Photoshop or Illustrator

for thumbnails and visuals. Experience in YouTube or brand content creation. Interest in cinematography, creative direction, or filmmaking.
