Job Description

Assemble and edit raw video footage into polished, engaging, and visually appealing final products. Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth transitions. Incorporate dialogue, music, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to enhance the video content. Review shooting scripts and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film or video. Perform color correction and grading to enhance the visual aesthetics of the footage. Ensure audio is clear, well-mixed, and synchronized with the visuals. Create rough and final cuts for review by stakeholders. Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project goals, creative vision, and feedback. Manage and organize video assets and project files for efficient workflow. Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and technical specifications for various platforms (e.g., social media, web, broadcast). Stay updated with industry trends, new editing techniques, and software advancements to maximize efficiency and creativity. Adjust formats and file sizes as needed for different distribution channels. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices.
