Job Description

Pre-Production

1. Review script, storyboard, and shot list to understand the project's vision and requirements.

2. Collaborate with the director, producer, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the project's goals.

Editing

1. Import and organize footage, audio, and other assets into editing software.

2. Assemble footage into a cohesive narrative or sequence.

3. Trim, cut, and arrange clips to create a flowing story.

4. Add transitions, effects, and color correction to enhance the visual appeal.

5. Work with audio elements, such as music, sound effects, and dialogue, to create a balanced audio mix.

Post-Production

1. Review and revise the edit based on feedback from stakeholders.

2. Ensure the final product meets the project's technical requirements, such as resolution, frame rate, and format.

3. Export the final edit in the required format.

Collaboration and Communication

1. Work closely with the director, producer, and other stakeholders to ensure the final product meets their vision.

2. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.

3. Provide regular updates on progress and any issues that arise.

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, or Final Cut Pro.

2. Understanding of video formats, codecs, and technical specifications.

3. Familiarity with color grading and audio mixing tools.

Attention to Detail

1. Ensure accuracy and consistency in the edit.

2. Pay attention to pacing, timing, and continuity.

3. Review the final product carefully to ensure it meets the project's standards.
