We are hiring an experienced and creative Video Editor to join our political coverage team in Patiala. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of high-stakes election reporting and contribute to impactful political journalism. You'll work closely with producers and field reporters to craft compelling visual stories that resonate with our viewers across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Edit political campaign coverage including speeches, rallies, interviews, and news packages. Work collaboratively with political reporters and production teams to meet daily news deadlines. Add transitions, subtitles, sound, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling. Ensure edits follow Sky News' editorial standards and compliance guidelines. Deliver video content optimized for television, web, and social media platforms. Maintain and archive media assets for future use.

Requirements

3-4 years of hands-on experience in professional video editing (preferably in news or political content). Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects, Photoshop, or similar tools is a plus. Strong understanding of political environments, campaign events, and current affairs. Excellent attention to detail and strong storytelling skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced newsroom setting. Flexibility to work during weekends, political events, or breaking news situations.
