Understand social media trends, hooks, pacing, and what makes a video go viral.
Collaborate with the creative team to bring ideas to life through visuals and storytelling.
Add animations, motion graphics, text effects, B-rolls, memes, and sound effects to enhance viewer engagement.
Take raw footage and transform it into engaging content with quick turnarounds.
Ensure consistency in brand style, tone, and visual appeal.
Handle basic sound mixing, color correction, and exporting in platform-optimized formats.
Stay updated with editing trends, platform algorithms, and best practices.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience.
Proficient in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve (as applicable).
Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, music selection, and sound design.
Experience with editing both short-form and long-form content.
Strong creativity and an eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
A strong portfolio or showreel is mandatory.
Preferred Skills (Bonus):
Experience with YouTube-style content (educational, podcast, explainer, etc.).
Familiarity with social media content strategy.
Graphic design or motion graphic skills.
Ability to work with scripts, voiceovers, and creative briefs.
