What You'll Be Doing:

Staring at timelines until your eyes twitch -- and somehow making magic happen
Turning 200GB of "raw footage" into 60 seconds of "can you add more pop?"
Making sure audio doesn't sound like it was recorded in a tunnel

What We Say We Want:

Pro at Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve (or good at pretending during the interview)
"Storytelling instincts" - aka can you make boring stuff seem emotional?
Attention to detail, because someone will always zoom in and find that one missed cut

Bonus If You Can:

Hold a camera steady without accidentally filming your shoes (or the sky)
Light a scene without making it look like an interrogation room
Capture decent audio -- or at least know which end of the mic to speak into
