Role Overview

We're looking for a Video Editor who knows how to turn ideas into tight, emotional, and entertaining edits. Someone who doesn't just cut footage, but builds rhythm, tells stories, and adds personality to every frame.

Key Responsibilities

Edit short-form and long-form video content for Barken's digital platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Meta, etc.).
Work closely with the creative and strategy teams to bring campaign ideas to life through compelling storytelling.
Maintain the brand's distinct tone - clean, humorous, and contemporary.
Execute smooth pacing, crisp transitions, and engaging hooks that hold attention from the first second.
Handle colour correction, sound design, and light motion graphics where needed.
Stay updated with platform trends and editing styles, and know when not to follow them.
Organize and manage project files to ensure efficient workflows.
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in video editing for brands, agencies, or digital content creators.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve / After Effects knowledge is a plus).
A strong sense of storytelling, rhythm, and timing.
Understanding of content formats and audience behaviour on social platforms.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with creative teams.
A portfolio or showreel showcasing creative and impactful video work.
