As a real estate videographer and editor, you'll combine technical video skills with real estate marketing knowledge. Here's a comprehensive overview of this specialized role:

Core Responsibilities

Plan and shoot high-quality property video tours with proper lighting, composition, and camera movement Edit footage to create engaging, professional property videos (typically 1-3 minutes long) Capture both interior and exterior footage, highlighting key property features Operate specialized equipment like DSLRs, drones, gimbals, and sliders Create compelling narratives that showcase properties in their best light Apply color correction, add music, text overlays, and transitions Meet tight deadlines for multiple property listings Coordinate with real estate agents, property managers, and marketing teams
Technical Skills Required

Proficient with video cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment Experience with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) Understanding of video composition and storytelling techniques Knowledge of real estate industry standards and marketing needs Basic understanding of residential and commercial property features Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency
