Job Description

Experience: 2-3 years (min. 2 years hands-on) o Location: Chennai o Function: Video Strategy + Production (Performance-Driven)
Role Purpose
Own the end-to-end video pipeline--creative strategy ? pre-prod ? direction ? post ? multi-variant delivery--to lift thumb-stop rate, watch-through, and CPA across paid + organic channels.
What You'll Own
Creative & Strategy

• Build video content plans by funnel stage & channel (YouTube, Reels/Shorts, PDP embeds, ads).

• Craft treatments, scripts, storyboards, lookbooks; align with product, brand, and performance goals.

Pre-Production

• Shot lists, casting, locations, budgets/schedules; vendor/crew selection.

• Camera/lighting/audio plans; legal, releases, permits, and risk checklists.

Direction & Production

• Direct talent and crew; ensure coverage, continuity, and on-time execution.

• Oversee data wrangling/DIT, slating, sync, and media backups on set.

Post-Production (Lead Function)

• Drive the offline ? online pipeline: edit, motion GFX, titles, color, sound design/mix, mastering.

• Multi-format versioning (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), multilingual/captions, platform-specific specs.

AI-Accelerated Filmmaking

• Use AI for previz, animatics, style frames, synthetic B-roll, transcription, VO, cleanup, upscales, rapid varianting--with clear disclosures and IP hygiene.

Ops & Systems

• Maintain the production calendar and DAM; build a reusable "Video Design System" (templates, LUTs, motion kit, lower-thirds, end-slates).

Requirements
Required Skills (Core = non-negotiable)
Video Editing & Finishing (Core)

• Mastery of pacing, narrative structure, hook crafting, music/SFX timing, transitions.

• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve: conforms, proxies, multicam, nested sequences, mixdowns, delivery specs.

Motion Graphics & Titles

• After Effects (or Resolve Fusion) for supers, lower thirds, kinetic type, product UI comps.

Sound & Color

• Dialogue cleanup, noise reduction, sound design/mix (Audition/Pro Tools/Fairlight).

• Color management, primary/secondary grades, LUT workflows (Resolve).

Direction & Producing

• Casting, blocking, performance coaching, call sheets; calm on-set leadership and clear comms.

Cameras & Lighting (working knowledge)

• Cinema cameras/codecs, frame rates, key/fill/rim, practical lighting, basic G&E.

AI Stack (working proficiency)

• Runway / Pika / Kling (gen-video), Midjourney/Firefly (frames), Descript/Whisper (scripts/transcripts), ElevenLabs (VO), Topaz/Resolve Studio (upscales), ChatGPT (research/outlines).

Tool Stack (you already use most of these)

• Edit/Finish: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve (Edit/Color/Fairlight), Final Cut (nice), CapCut for quick variants.

• Motion: After Effects, Resolve Fusion; Mogrt workflows; Lottie (for UI motion).

• Audio: Audition, Pro Tools, RX iZotope (nice), Fairlight.

• AI & Assist: Runway, Pika, Kling, Midjourney/Firefly, Descript/Whisper/WhisperX, ElevenLabs, Topaz Video AI.

• Asset & Review: Frame.io, Google Drive, Dropbox, Kyno/ShotGrid (nice).

• On-Set: Blackmagic Camera Utility, Tentacle Sync, SetApp tools, Shot Lister; camera families (Sony FX/Cine, Canon C-series, BMPCC), lights (Aputure/Godox), audio (R?DE/Deity).

• Licensing: Artlist/Epidemic (music/SFX), Shutterstock/Storyblocks (stock).

• Delivery/Specs: YouTube, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (Video), DV360 spec sheets.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Adobe Certified Professional (Premiere Pro and/or After Effects).

• Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve (User/Color/Editing).

• YouTube Creative Essentials / Meta Creative Strategy (nice).

• Sound (Avid Pro Tools User) - nice to have.

Must-Have "2+ Years Hands-On" (Hard Screen)

• Leading edit?finish on explainers, demos, social ads, testimonials with measurable performance lift (WTR/CPA).

• Building motion packages (titles, supers, lower-thirds) and delivering broadcast/web-safe masters.

• Directing talent on small sets; running call sheets, shot lists, and day-of pivots.

• Shipping multi-format exports (9:16/1:1/16:9) and caption/localization workflows.

• Using AI tools to speed previz, transcripts, variants, cleanup, and upscales--with IP/rights compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Film/Media/Design (or portfolio-backed equivalent).

• 2-3 years taking video from concept to delivery; 2+ years directing talent.

• Reel showing editorial excellence across explainers, product demos, social ads, and testimonials.
