Job Summary
The Vice Principal serves as the second head of the school and officiates in the absence of the
Principal. The role involves supporting the Principal in academic leadership, administration,
curriculum development, staff management, and ensuring overall school excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
Support the Principal in achieving the school's vision and goals with clear direction and
high expectations.
Assist in school self-review, planning, and effective resource management.
Lead curriculum development meetings and ensure timely updates of curriculum
policies.
Act as a model classroom practitioner to inspire and motivate teaching staff.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning outcomes, and student
achievement.
Conduct class observations and promote best pedagogical practices.
Ensure the academic needs of individual students are identified and addressed.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessments.
Promote integration of ICT in teaching and curriculum delivery.
Encourage self-evaluation among teaching staff to enhance academic performance.
Track students' progress, ensure accurate reporting, and support teachers in achieving
academic targets.
Communication and Interpersonal Relationships
Liaise with the Principal and coordinate communication with Section Heads and staff.
Support regular communication between the school and parents to ensure transparency.
Lead, motivate, and develop staff for continuous professional growth.
Promote a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusion within the school.
Collaborate with stakeholders, governing bodies, and parent associations for effective
school management.
Infrastructure and Safety
Ensure a safe, disciplined, and motivating environment for students and staff.
Oversee student behavior and welfare within and outside the school premises.
Act as the Deputy Designated Person for child protection and welfare in the absence of
the Principal.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
Implement school policies and maintain discipline as per guidelines.
Review timetables to optimize teaching and learning.
Lead induction programs for new staff and students.
Participate in staff recruitment and professional development.
Support the Principal in annual budgeting and resource management.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff appraisal processes.
Ensure effective communication and documentation across all departments.
Contribute to enrollment growth and maintain academic excellence.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in any discipline and B.Ed. from a recognized university.
Additional qualification in Educational Management (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role (Vice Principal / Section Head) in a K-12 school.
Experience in curriculum planning, academic administration, and school management.
Key Interactions
Internal:
Principal, Teachers, Support Staff, Parents, Academic & Administrative Teams.
External:
Vendors, School Governing Bodies, and other stakeholders for compliance,
procurement, and development activities.

Pay: ?75,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
