Job Description


Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • As member of the R2R team Contributing to the overall GFS / R2R Strategy of India and Africa.
  • Ensure functionalisation is implemented within R2R Reporting team
  • Manage Command Centre process and support the Lead-Command Centre to deliver on stated objectives. Enhance the scope and coverage of the Command Centre to provide an end to end optimisation of the close process
  • Drive strategic initiatives in GFS to enhance the footprint of processes from the countries.
  • Supporting the Finance priorities and ensuring GFS plays a lead role. Eg. SAP DM Implementation and its central administration.
  • Supporting the Finance transformation programme to drive sustainable solutions and process improvements.
  • Providing support to the Aspire program and implementing actions as per the program schedule.
Business and Process

Ensuring partnership and alignment with other GPM/ COE area in establishing end to end alignment of processes including sharing of best practices.
  • Maintain a strong financial controls and operational risk control environment over the function. This includes achieving an ongoing healthy business environment through strict compliance of policies standards and maintenance of a robust infrastructure and processes
  • The role is also expected to proactively drive improvement initiatives to continuously enhance the global process, whilst maintaining the highest levels of governance and controls. The role holder will need to ctively seek and implement changes i.e. bring in more processes into a functionalised model which is scalable and repeatable
  • Ensure data integrity in the financial reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure implementation of SAP DM for Local Statutory Reporting and is well versed with IFRS & Local Stat reporting.
  • Ensure team performs business review of IFRS schedules \xe2\x80\x93 profit & loss, balance sheet and off-balance sheet to confirm expected results are reported in the schedules
  • Ensure a stronger collaboration across various GFS units
  • Drive the process standardization and Identify consolidation opportunities from the countries for process migration
  • Manage the end to end reporting cycle from a technology interface standpoint, optimize data loading / adjustment loading timelines by co-ordination with various stakeholders to ensure optimized quarterly reporting time is met.
  • Change management: Facilitate overall upgrades and system changes in the tool along with Technology.
  • Review of all Financials prepared using SAP DM and provide advisory commentaries to align with Group where required
People and Talent
  • Support & build strong high performing teams with demonstration of Thought leadership, Influencing and collaboration skills with a clear focus on driving results.
  • Ensuring an effective and robust employee performance management culture is in place. Driving an impactful managerial effectiveness by the people managers in the team to drive higher motivation and engagement levels.
  • Provide strong leadership to the team; attract, retain and develop finance professionals in the unit, to effectively execute work load and support / advise the stakeholders
  • As a senior leader in the GFS-R2R team actively lead and drive People initiatives and work with cross functional leadership.
  • Coach, Mentor and help in building a strong second line of leadership in GFS-R2R team.
  • Ensure all staffs are attending mandatory training programs and also arrange for domain based training wherever required.
  • Manage attrition below 15% in the team through effective employee engagement and Talent Retention programs.
  • Enhance the employee engagement scores across the teams, through effective coaching, performance management practices, Talent retention & Functional development of employees
Risk Management and Governance
  • Perform process risk analysis to identify the gaps in the existing process.
  • Embed the Group\xe2\x80\x99s values and code of conduct in the role remit to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations.
  • Ensure review of process documentation of all processes once in 6 months
  • Ensure all staffs are attending mandatory training programs and also arrange for domain based training wherever required.
  • Support internal & external audits and ensure nil adverse comments.
  • Driving the RM engagement with the designated countries and ensuring strengthening of the GFS engagement with the key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the monthly dashboard calls with Stakeholders with key process metrics and forward looking actions.
  • Complying with all governance requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Process metrics review, BCP.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide timely information and support

  • Financial Controllers or Head of Finance in the country
  • GFS teams like R2R Accounting, R2R Controllers , IM Team, Technology, Tax and Capital functions.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • MBA Finance / Qualified C.A or I C.W.A.
  • 12+ year post qualification relevant work experience in a Financial Reporting role preferably in a financial services industry with specific experience in performing analytical reviews of legal entity/statutory reporting (schedules and data) with business in focus
  • Good understanding of Financial Accounting standards (IAS and IFRS) Demonstrates ability to respond to client requirement
  • Proven change management and/or project skills
  • Has exposure to Financial Reporting
  • Displays ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Has a high stakeholder connect
ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge of IFRS reporting standards and practices Advanced
  • Working experience in different financial and accounting systems esp SAP DM, BPC, S4, etc Advanced
  • Preparation of Financial Statements & its review, Audit Management, GL Substantiation, GAAP Analysis Advanced
  • Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests Advanced
