POSITION / TITLE:

Vice President - Quality Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY:

Kore.ai is hiring a

Vice President of Quality Engineering

to lead the

enterprise-wide transformation of product quality

across its Conversational AI, Voice, CCaaS, and Agentic AI platforms.



This is a

strategic leadership role

reporting into the CTO / Chief Product & Technology organisation. The VP will define

quality as a competitive advantage

, ensure

customer trust at scale

, and embed

AI-aware quality practices

into every stage of product development and delivery.



The role owns

multi-product QA organisations

, shared platforms, production quality, and customer-impact outcomes, and will partner closely with

Engineering, Product, SRE, Security, and Customer Success

leadership.



The VP of Quality Engineering will be accountable for:

Transforming QA into a

modern, engineering-led Quality function

Establishing

predictable, scalable, and measurable quality

across all products Ensuring

AI system reliability, safety, and enterprise readiness

Protecting and strengthening Kore.ai's reputation with

Tier-1 global customers

LOCATION: Hyderabad (Work from Office)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Enterprise Quality Strategy & Governance

Define and execute a

company-wide Quality Engineering strategy

aligned with Kore.ai's product and AI roadmap. Establish

quality governance, standards, and metrics

across all products and platforms. Act as the

executive owner of product quality

, release readiness, and risk acceptance. Represent quality posture in

executive reviews, customer escalations, and board-level discussions

.

2. Platform, Automation & Intelligent Systems Quality Leadership

Define quality practices for complex, highly configurable platforms that include automation, orchestration, and intelligent decisioning components.

Establish robust validation strategies for workflow-driven, event-based, and non-deterministic systems without over-reliance on model internals.

Drive automation-led quality engineering using:

API, contract, and integration testing

Synthetic data and scenario-driven validation

+

Scalable regression frameworks across products

Ensure quality coverage for voice, conversational flows, integrations, and enterprise workflows.

Partner with architecture and platform teams to embed design-for-quality principles early in the lifecycle.

Encourage selective use of intelligent tooling to improve test coverage, defect prediction, and release confidence--without turning QA into an R&D function.

3. Multi-Product & Platform Ownership

Own quality outcomes across

multiple large, enterprise-scale products

with shared infrastructure. Drive

horizontal quality platforms

, reusable automation, and common tooling across product lines. Balance

speed, innovation, and enterprise-grade reliability

across highly configurable deployments.

4. Engineering, DevOps & Production Excellence

Embed quality deeply into

CI/CD, DevSecOps, and SRE practices

. Establish performance, scale, resiliency, security, and compliance testing as

non-negotiable gates

. Own

production quality KPIs

: escaped defects, customer impact, MTTR, and systemic RCA effectiveness. Drive proactive detection of quality risks before customer impact.5. Customer Trust & Enterprise Readiness Partner with Customer Success and Support leadership to improve

customer-visible quality outcomes

. Lead quality response for

strategic accounts and high-severity escalations

. Ensure products meet

enterprise expectations

for reliability, compliance, and audit readiness

6. Organization & Talent Leadership

Lead and scale a

multi-product QA organization

through Directors, Managers, and Principal Engineers. Build a strong

leadership bench and succession pipeline

within Quality Engineering. Define modern QA career paths emphasizing

engineering depth, AI literacy, and product ownership

. Foster a culture of

accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:

Leadership & Experience

18+ years in

Product Engineering / Quality Engineering

, with 5

+ years at Director / VP level

. Proven experience leading

quality for enterprise SaaS or platform products

. Demonstrated success transforming QA organizations at

scale and complexity

. Strong executive presence with ability to influence

CTO, Product, and Customer leadership

.

Technical & Domain Expertise

Deep understanding of

cloud-native architectures

, distributed systems, and APIs. Strong background in

automation-first QA, CI/CD, and DevOps

. Hands-on exposure to

AI/ML systems

, LLMs, conversational or decisioning platforms strongly preferred. Experience with

voice, CCaaS, workflow, or real-time systems

is a strong advantage.
