The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

This role works closely with GPO, DM, ST and reporting into Head, Innovation, Analytics and Enablement in driving the execution of our strategy, messaging and Change and Transformation agenda for the function.

The individual will help building the strategy as well in executing the decisions in close engagement with the DM and ST Leadership and their extended team.

The role will be critical in driving delivery of our Finance Operations targets, through key pillars of

Enabling execution of our Strategy
  • Support building the Transformation strategy and execution of Operational excellence within the function.
  • Play an advisory role driving process optimisation and FTOM design.
  • Manage the Centralisation and Standardisation agenda, driving measurable outcomes.
  • Execute the quarterly Activity analysis and assimilation of critical KPIs and leverage insights to build our operating model and drive strategy discussions.
Change and Transformation
  • Drive the operating rhythm for our A3 BAU Change initiatives, including the definition, timeliness, prioritisation decisions and review cadence.
  • Provide DM and ST Leadership with insights and inputs on our change initiatives, along with building a framework for benefits measurement.
  • Support the ongoing transformation efforts, and monitor centrally driven initiatives / BoW (Service Now, Future of Planning).
  • Partner with DM and ST Leadership team, CFO teams and Aspire to deliver on TOM and process transformation agendas including Transition framework that are specific to countries.
  • Leverage business process service management tools such as ARIS, ServiceNow, Power BI and in-house workforce management tools to fast-track converting opportunities into solutions and their implementation.
  • Develop and drive robust measures and metrics to effectively manage the DM and ST organisation.
Metrics and Measurement
  • Developing process framework, defining key metrics covering quality, timelines, efficiency, cost, voice of customer and continuous improvement to effectively manage people and process performance and outcomes.
  • Manage the periodic central consolidation and governance and operating rigor to measure the metrics and measurements.
  • Review PS Tool information and help draw inferences and actions for effective capacity management and well being.
  • Drive common metrics standards and provide insights to the wider Fin Ops level metrics.
Strategy
  • Support building the Transformation strategy and execution of Operational excellence within the function.
  • Play an advisory role driving process optimisation and FTOM design.
  • Manage the Centralisation and Standardisation agenda, driving measurable outcomes.
  • Execute the quarterly Activity analysis and assimilation of critical KPIs and leverage insights to build our operating model and drive strategy discussions.
Business
  • Supports the Data Management and Stress Testing teams in FinOps.
Processes
  • Focus on Continuous Process Improvement within FinOps, primarily to aligned teams.
People and Talent
  • Support the DM and ST wide People initiatives.
  • Leverage existing tools and metrics to review team structure / capacity plans.
Risk Management
  • Aligned to Standard Chartered risk management policies.
Governance
  • Aligned to Standard Chartered governance practices.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Finance and / or Process Engineering professional with proven track record of implementing strategic projects covering processes and technology in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Proven ability to translate ideas into opportunities and leading them to successful implementation.
  • Strong ability to negotiate and arrive at consensus to influence funding and drive faster execution of solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions.
  • Excellent business judgment, operational control management and risk assessment.
  • Results orientation, exceptional energy, and ambition to drive systems, technology and process changes across geographies.
  • Strategic context with ability to work collaboratively within the Team and the Bank in formulating strategies involving sourcing and suppliers to deliver business value.
  • Strong team leadership and development skills to lead a motivated team \xe2\x80\x93 with an ability to operate in complex multi-organisation, multi-country and multi-cultural environments.
  • Senior executive stakeholder management capability that provides strong collaboration with business and functional leaders.
