Looking for the Vice President Operations only from the Waste Management Industry. Must have worked 7+ years in Managerial level position. Job Overview As the Assistant Vice President of Operations in waste management, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of the waste management division within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of waste collection, disposal, recycling, and related processes. Your primary objective will be to maximize operational efficiency, enhance safety standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve company goals and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Operational Management: Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for waste management operations. Collaborate with senior management to set operational objectives, KPIs, and performance targets. Monitor daily operations and ensure smooth execution of waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities. Oversee the scheduling of waste pickups, routes, and logistics to optimize resources and minimize costs. Budget And Cost Management Develop and manage the annual budget for the waste management division, optimizing costs without compromising on quality and safety. Analyze financial reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement appropriate measures to achieve financial objectives. Team Leadership And Development Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of waste management professionals. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth. Vendor And Stakeholder Management Collaborate with waste disposal contractors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure reliable service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant regulatory agencies, community stakeholders, and local authorities. Continuous Improvement Lead and support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows. Identify and implement best practices across the waste management division. Requirements Master\'s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in waste management, with at least 5-7 years in a senior managerial role. Strong knowledge of waste management regulations, safety protocols, and environmental compliance. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans for waste management operations. Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Previous experience managing budgets and optimizing costs in a waste management setting.
