Process & Operations: Oversee day-to-day execution of technology projects & initiatives. With PMO support, ensure efficient project planning, resource allocation, project execution and use of agile/DevOps practices to optimize velocity and quality. Implement continuous improvement in the software development lifecycle. Increase adoption of Shift-Left methodologies (i.e. early feedback loops, automated testing as part of development cycle, etc.).

Technical Support: Be the technical leader for Level 1 and Level 2 Support. Collaborate with Global Operations to analyze root cause issues and drive engineering initiatives to improve technical support.

o

Culture & Communication: Foster a positive, inclusive engineering culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Serve as a cultural steward in Malaysia, reinforcing company values and promoting cross-team knowledge sharing. Maintain clear communication channels across time zones to keep both local teams and Global leadership aligned.

Vice President - Local Engineering Head / Local CTO

Key Responsibilities:

o

Technical Leadership: Lead the entire software engineering organization in Malaysia, overseeing architecture, codebase, and infrastructure. Drive best practices in software design and development (.NET, Java, and modern web frameworks) to meet business objectives.

o

Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the US-based CTO and product teams to define and execute the product roadmap. Align local engineering efforts with global strategy and translate client needs into technical solutions.

o

People Management: Mentor and coach engineers and technical support staff. Conduct regular code and design reviews, performance feedback, and career development plans to build a high performing, engaged team.

o

Recruiting & Team Growth: Drive the hiring process to attract top technical talent. Build and grow a diverse and capable team in Malaysia, from developers to support

Qualifications:

o

Proven Leadership: 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles (e.g. Director, VP, CTO). You should be a seasoned leader with a track record of managing high-performing teams delivering large-scale enterprise software

o

Team Management: Experience managing engineering organizations of ~50+ people, ideally in a remote or distributed environment. Prior responsibility for engineering or technology teams of similar size (including offshore/contract resources) is highly desirable.

o

Technical Expertise: Strong software engineering background with expertise in .NET (C#) and Java platforms. Familiarity with web technologies (e.g. Angular or similar frameworks) and cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers, AWS/Azure). Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Prior experience in the AdTech industry.

o

Agile/DevOps: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and development lifecycle tools. Ability to implement and refine processes that improve code quality, release velocity, and team effectiveness.

o

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).

o

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication. Comfortable presenting technical concepts to executive stakeholders. Able to work effectively across cultural and geographic boundaries.

o

Client Focus: Experience in roles that involve interaction with clients or stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions. You

should demonstrate a customer

-centric mindset, provide proactive support and ensure high satisfaction.

o

Remote Work: Self-motivated and disciplined, with a proven ability to succeed in a globally distributed work environment. Comfortable coordinating with teams in different time zones and maintaining productivity without constant oversight.
