Overall purpose of role :
- A key member of the Global Corporate Team developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of large local corporates / clients across India based in Mumbai
- Responsible for creating a significant market presence for the Bank across Large Local Corporates primarily covering West & North India, including raising the profile of Bank.
- Develop new business, retain and manage a portfolio of clients, develop strong, long-term relationships in the Corporate Banking segment. The jobholder will operate in a dynamic and highly competitive marketplace.
- There will be a strong emphasis to identify and drive business development - both in terms of new business with existing customers as well as new customers
- The prime objective is to maximize sustainable Revenue growth coming through conquest income and effective X Sell of all corporate & investment products
Key Accountabilities :
- Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Primary point of contact within the Bank for your portfolio customers - CEO, Finance Director, Treasurer etc, on strategic financial advice/business risk/credit issues-as appropriate.
- Strong relationship contact within Bank\'s global network points for efficient closure of overseas Transactions. Develop global relationships with Country Relationship Leads to drive transactions.
- Responsible for delivering a consultancy based approach to the customer through use of the wider group capability and selling the Bank\'s Corporate and Investment Bank product suite. Achieve a high degree of cross sell
- Regular meetings with customers to monitor changing circumstances /plans /opportunities, together with ad hoc meetings as required. Communicating all key messages concerning relationships, to others as appropriate.
- Within scheduled meetings undertake Risk Review as required
- Use feedback gained on Product /Service offerings to inform / identify and contribute to the development of distinctive service/product offerings, which would be appropriate to the industry.
- Sell complex solutions using a diagnostic approach. This will require the jobholder to have an in-depth understanding of customer needs and to take a holistic view of the customers\' business.
- Research, create and follow up a defined target list for potential new business, taking an industry sector focus as agreed with the CB Head
- Arrange and undertake product presentations along with product partners where appropriate, including updation of salesforce, outputs from pricing tools
Person Specification :
- Post Graduate MBA or Chartered Accountant with extensive corporate banking experience of minimum 10 years working in banking environment with a portfolio of Large Local Corporates
- Knowledge of the Bank\'s products, services and policies across corporate and investment bank required to undertake the role. Keep track of local market, regulatory changes and key players.
- Appreciation of Investment Banking products and markets and fit with CB products.
- Working closely with cross-border teams across product, coverage and infrastructure
- Comprehensive understanding of the impact of economic environment on customer\'s needs and business.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mandatory risk policies and procedures relating to credit conformance and regulatory, operational and legal risk.
- The jobholder should have broad business and sales experience building and managing relationships at a senior level i.e. MD, Finance Director, Treasurer within a customer base segmented from the Global Corporates segment
