Inviting applications for the role of Vice President- Engineering Lead-Agentic AI
In this role, you'll be part of Genpact's transformation under GenpactNext, as we lead the shift to Agentic AI Solutions--domain-specific, autonomous systems that redefine how we deliver value to clients. You'll help drive the adoption of innovations across Agentic AI products like AP Suite and Insurance, among others, set to expand across service lines.

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Vice President - Engineering Lead to oversee engineering across a portfolio of Agentic AI products in a global environment. This role demands deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership, and the ability to scale high-performing engineering organizations that deliver reliable, secure, and enterprise-grade AI solutions.
You will drive Genpact's AI-first transformation by uniting AI research, engineering, product, platform, and client teams to convert advanced Agentic AI capabilities into real, measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Engineering Strategy

• Define and lead the multi-product engineering vision, architecture standards, and technical strategy for scalable Agentic AI solutions.
• Ensure engineering decisions align with long-term product, platform, and enterprise architecture goals.

Multi-Product Engineering Oversight

• Oversee engineering execution across multiple AI product lines, ensuring consistency, performance, reusability, and speed to market.
• Guide teams on system design, model integration, platform capabilities, and AI governance.

SDLC & Delivery Excellence

• Own the end-to-end SDLC across all products, embedding best practices, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive engineering discipline through rigorous defect management, code quality standards, and efficient release processes.

Quality, Reliability & AI Safety

• Champion high build quality through robust testing frameworks, automated quality gates, performance benchmarking, and secure coding practices.
• Implement responsible AI development practices, ensuring safety, reliability, model evaluation, and compliance.

Engineering Velocity & Productivity

• Identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives to improve engineering velocity and operational efficiency without sacrificing quality.
• Introduce modern tooling, automated pipelines, and cross-functional engineering practices to accelerate delivery.

Client-Centric Engineering

• Embed a culture of customer empathy within the engineering organization.
• Work directly with clients and product leaders to translate real-world needs into scalable AI-driven features and solutions.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a global engineering organization built on technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Develop succession plans, upskilling programs, and a strong culture of collaboration across AI research, engineering, and product teams.

Cross-Functional & Executive Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Product, AI Research, Sales, Security, and Customer Success to ensure engineering priorities align with strategic business goals.
• Communicate engineering progress, risks, capacity, and trade-offs transparently at the executive level.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

• Proven success leading large, distributed engineering teams across multiple products in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise in SDLC, automation, defect reduction, and engineering process optimization.
• Deep understanding of platform engineering, cloud-native architectures, and AI/ML integration.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Master's degree in Technology Management, Business, or Data Science is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience building or scaling AI/ML, agentic automation, or intelligent workflow products.
• Strong familiarity with Agile engineering practices and modern DevSecOps tools.
• Ability to balance engineering rigor, architectural integrity, and business needs.
• Proven track record of mentoring technical leaders and building high-performing engineering cultures.
• Experience interfacing directly with enterprise clients and adapting solutions to complex business environments.
