We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking a future team member for the role of India Travel Lead to join our Global Corporate Services Team. This role is located in Chennai, India - HYBRID.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • The Travel Lead will direct, operate, and administer Corporate Travel program for the Company.
  • This position will require tactical and strategic delivery of various aspects of corporate travel to all BNY Mellon employees and visitors in line with the best global standards.
  • In this role, reporting into the GCSD India Travel Lead, the person will manage resources/agents deployed by Company\xe2\x80\x99s designated Global Business Travel vendor in overseeing day to day travel requirements of BNY Mellon India employees in two locations i.e. Pune & Chennai
  • The job requires managing service delivery of Company\xe2\x80\x99s Global Business Travel vendor and the person will act as Engagement Manager to govern appropriate levels of service, adherence to terms & conditions of the Contract.
  • The person will monitor the usage of a vendor provided Online Booking Tool, manage travel behaviour through analysis of travel data and provide insights and develop initiatives to continually improve the Global Travel Team and the travel agency services on customer service and travel cost management.
  • The person should have the ability to work strategically to identify process improvement/simplification opportunities in the online booking tool and seek opportunities to improve efficiencies of the travel booking process and the Travel desk\xe2\x80\x99s day to day operations.
  • The role is required to provide strong oversight on the third-party agents on International Travel requirements including assistance on flights, hotel accommodation and specialized travel documents such as visas or passports.
  • The person would administer the Corporate Credit Card Program, including handling the card application process, card usage, delinquency management, accounting of credit card transactions, overviewing the payments, reporting and data analytics.
  • The role requires working strategically with star hotels to improve and enhance overall employee experience.
  • The person should monitor & resolve any customer services issues of BNY Mellon travellers.
  • The person should be able to work with LOB leaders/Recruitment managers to deliver on the India New Hires Relocation Program
  • The person should have the analytical ability to work with the LOB Financial Planning & Analysis Team to develop/deliver and analyse Expense reports.
  • Extend support to Global travel team on implementation of various global initiatives at India level.
To be successful in this role, we\xe2\x80\x99re seeking the following:
  • A person with 10+ years of experience in the field of Corporate Travel, hospitality and managing third party Business Travel vendors.
  • Should have a good knowledge of working of prevalent travel industry tools like Concur or Neo
  • Should have prior experience in managing business visa requirements.
  • Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree.
  • Hotel Management graduate or MBA would be preferred.
  • Well organised and should be able to prioritise demands and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure.
  • Competent in the standard soft IT skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to delegate.
  • Must be a confident communicator with a bias towards customer care.
  • Must have a high proficiency in English language, and strong analytical, reasoning skills.
