The candidate will lead dynamic teams focusing on Return on Capital and Client & Product Profitability teams within Corporate Finance (FP&A). The role requires understanding the drivers of the client Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and capital framework in the financial services industry. It offers immense opportunities to collaborate with teams within FP&A, LFO, Controllership, Treasury and Business teams to resolve specific business issues, and establish analytics to provide guidance in making strategic decisions. This role will require the ability and acumen to interface regularly with Senior/Client Executives on P&L and ROC reporting details
Role requirements:Establish and manage effective bi-lateral communication with senior leaders/Client Executives; key emphasis on the relationship management skill-set and ability to regularly interface with CEs to establish confidence in the integrity and accuracy of P&L and Capital data
Work with Global Markets and Global Credit Finance businesses that consume and manage directly significant RWA to develop analytics that enable them to enhance the ROC
Integrate ROC budget into the regular budget process
Possess the ability to describe/deconstruct P&L data and explain period-over-period anomalies/data trends
Analyze and validate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for accuracy; work with the Client Profitability P&L Production team to identify and rectify data errors/anomalies that arise from analysis
Research inquiries from Client Executives related to their P&L's and Account Plans
Prepare reporting utilized by Senior Management related to client P&L's to help facilitate business decisions
Engage/contribute to process optimization initiatives related to improving transparency and accuracy of P&L reporting
Collaborate with partner groups to streamline procedures to ensure repeatable, consistent execution of operational processes.
Proactively contribute toward improved reporting-period cycle times and more transparent reporting (i.e., time-to-market for P&L reporting & distribution), in partnership with other areas of FP&A
Work on ad hoc projects as necessary.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of enterprise data assets, understand the data landscape, lineage and application to ensure consistency across all reporting systems
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business field
12+ years of financial services industry experience
Ability to manage medium to large super talented team members
Must be proactive and work leveraging resources and knowledge from other teams
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments under tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to articulate complex concepts/data in succinct manner appropriate for Senior Management consumption
Demonstrated computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Excel
Ability to understand data flows and the interaction between data & systems as they apply to the end-to-end lifecycle of P&L production
Proficiency in data analytics & systems infrastructure
Ability to identify risks and develop remediation strategies to mitigate those risks (e.g., operational process risks, data errors, production deficiencies, etc.)
Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI visualization tools and how to deploy dashboards effectively is a plus
Knowledge of AI for Finance - Prompt Engineering. Drive the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI across Client P&L processes
Knowledge of how to deploy Copilot-powered dashboards and narratives that deliver insights to executive leadership
