Job Role

A key priority for Core Finance Change as part of the Aspire Program is to establish a centre of excellence across core finance functions, SAP suite of products and new ways of working.

The Change / Project manager is responsible for driving a medium to high complexity project from initiation through closure to achieve the project objectives and benefits while navigating the project through the constraints such as scope, cost / budget and time. Project Manager works closely with the Delivery Leads, Technology Leads, and Project management Office to drive the larger transformation agenda as part of the ASPIRE programme.

The role will report into the Change CoE India Head, with matrix reporting into Delivery Lead.

The role will include senior stakeholder engagement, project management responsibility, solution / process design, operational delivery, risk and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

The Data SubLedger Change Lead (Project Manager) - will be

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a standalone project or a work-stream of ASPIRE.
  • Responsible for managing deliverables throughout the project lifecycle collaborating with various project / program teams, stakeholders; finance stakeholders across geographies, process and technology teams.
  • Setup of the PSC and preparing quality PSC materials (ToR, Packs, Minutes, etc).
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s project management framework and standards; including the standard tools such as Clarity, SOLMAN, JIRA, etc.
  • Ensuring Clarity is up to date including Project static data, RAG status; key milestones, financials, risks, dependencies, issues and resource forecasts, and they are tracked and reported to the Management.
  • Develop a well-defined project plan and obtain commitment on the various plan elements.
  • Come up with the estimates for the cost, schedule and effort using the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s estimation standards , best practices and past experience.
  • Continuously track and monitor the status of the project , ensure understanding of the impact of the same to stakeholders by presenting it in Project Governance forums.
  • Escalate and seek intervention when needed to ensure the project is delivered as per the baseline.
  • Evidence of strong Project Management skills, enabling the delivery of multiple diverse data initiatives from inception to delivery.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Prepare and monitor the financials of the project.
  • Responsibility for prioritisation and management of critical path delivery items.
  • Responsible for risk and issue resolution.
  • Drive the solution discussions by working closely with the Business , Finance and the Technology groups.
  • Primary contact point with other change and BAU leaders across the organisation to identify and resolve blockers to project success.
  • Ensure effective governance and project management standards are applied across all delivery responsibilities.
  • Excellent business and technical process design and execution skills, enabling the effective execution of a change.
  • Drive the establishment of a target operating model and internal capability to support and drive ongoing change / enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure strong engagement with senior leaders and stakeholders across Finance.
  • Build effective communication channels with wider senior finance leadership.
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to focus on multiple initiatives and subjects at the same time.

Key Stakeholders

The role will be reporting into the Aspire Core Finance Change Lead but will also have direct engagement with Aspire Core Finance Work Stream Leads, GPO\xe2\x80\x99s and senior Aspire MT.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 12 - 15 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services in more than one core Finance functions; Ledger, Consolidation, Financial and Management Reporting, Cost allocations and transfer pricing, planning and performance management; Master Data Governance, Supply Chain management and Tax reporting.
  • Change experience on implementation of finance technology solutions.
  • Experience in establishing and delivering large scale change initiatives within Finance / Banking.
  • Core Project Management skillsets including Planning, Risk and Issue Management, etc.
  • Certification in Project Management, Agile / Scrum Methodologies.
  • Strong skills with core Business Analysis toolset and techniques.
  • Strong background in problem solving, with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Experience in Senior Stakeholder Management and Communication.
