Position Title:

Veterinary Nutritionist

Position Overview:

This position includes supporting the development and optimization of pet food products by applying veterinary and nutritional expertise, with a focus on formulation, product innovation, market trend analysis, and providing technical nutrition support to internal teams and clients

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulate and improve pet food products to meet nutritional, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with R&D and production teams on ingredient selection, product testing, and quality improvement. Monitor market trends, scientific research, and competitor products to identify new product opportunities. Provide technical nutrition support to sales and marketing teams, including training and reviewing product claims. Communicate with clients--veterinarians, retailers, and distributors--to offer nutritional guidance and explain product benefits. Assist management in planning and executing new product development initiatives.

Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

Master's degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Nutrition preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in pet nutrition or the pet food industry. Strong understanding of pet diet formulation and nutritional standards. Excellent communication skills and ability to translate science into practical solutions. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support technical and commercial projects.
