We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Para-Vet to assist with fieldwork involving street and community dogs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring pet health through basic clinical procedures and must be comfortable working with sick or distressed animals. Daily clock in hours required - 6 to 8 hours/ day.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal Handling & Monitoring: Safely handle street dogs and pets, including those with health conditions, to collect vital data such as rectal temperature and general health observations.
Health Assessment Support: Assist in identifying visible signs of illness, injury, or discomfort in animals and report findings to the supervising veterinarian or medical team.
Experience with Sick/Injured Dogs: Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing dogs suffering from diseases or injuries, with a calm and confident approach.
Compassionate Animal Care: Show patience, empathy, and genuine concern while handling stressed, frightened, or aggressive animals.
Multilingual Communication: Must be fluent in Kannada and Hindi/ English to communicate effectively with both field staff and pet owners or caregivers.
Having connections with dog shelters would be an added advantage for this role.
