Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate

Veterinary Doctor

to lead the animal husbandry component of our rural development programs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in livestock healthcare and community-based veterinary outreach.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Livestock Health Management

Conduct routine health check-ups and organize mobile veterinary camps in villages. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and infections among livestock (cattle, goats, poultry, etc.). Implement vaccination and deworming schedules in accordance with government norms and project guidelines.

2. Capacity Building and Awareness

Conduct training programs for farmers on: Common livestock diseases and preventive measures Scientific animal husbandry practices Hygiene and fodder management Basic first aid for animals

3. Nutrition and Fodder Advisory

Advise farmers on balanced nutrition for various livestock species. Promote high-quality green fodder cultivation and use of mineral supplements. Address seasonal fodder challenges through sustainable solutions.

4. Data Collection and Monitoring

Maintain detailed records on livestock health, vaccination, and treatment. Submit periodic reports and success stories to project management. Track and report improvements in livestock productivity.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) from a recognized institution. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in rural development. Proficiency in local dialects and understanding of the Hardoi region is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with rural communities.
