Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care:

Feeding, bathing, grooming, and providing general care for animals.

Assisting with Medical Procedures:

Restraining animals, preparing surgical equipment, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting with sample collection.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Sterilizing equipment, cleaning kennels and exam rooms, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Administrative Tasks:

Scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and assisting with client communication.

Medication Administration:

Administering medications as prescribed by the veterinarian.

Monitoring Patients:

Observing animals during recovery from surgery or other procedures.
Skills and Qualities:

Animal Handling Skills:

Ability to safely and effectively handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.

Communication Skills:

Effective communication with veterinarians, other staff, and pet owners.

Empathy and Compassion:

Understanding and responding to the needs of animals and their owners.

Attention to Detail:

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper care.

Ability to Work in a Team:

Collaborating with veterinarians and other staff.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
