Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures. Handle pets safely and gently, ensuring minimal stress for the animals. Prepare examination and treatment areas with necessary instruments and supplies. Support in administering medications, vaccines, and basic first aid as instructed by the vet. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic, including consultation rooms, kennels, and grooming areas. Collect and label samples (blood, urine, feces) as directed. Monitor and comfort hospitalized pets, ensuring food, water, and bedding are provided. Communicate with pet parents regarding basic care, procedures, and follow-up instructions. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with appointment scheduling. Stock management - monitor and replenish medical supplies.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in animal care/veterinary assistance is a plus. Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or pet care setting preferred. Strong love for animals and ability to handle them with care. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and first aid is desirable. Physically fit to lift and handle pets of various sizes.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,645.14 per month
