Title : Vertical Delivery Leader (VDL) - Automotive

Scope of Work -
The Vertical Delivery Leader (VDL) plays a mission-critical executive leadership role, functioning as the Chief Operating Officer of the Automotive Industry within Quest Global. This role is the cornerstone of strategic leadership and operational excellence, with full accountability for ensuring client satisfaction, margin realization, and execution readiness for the strategic pursuits of the vertical globally. The VDL ensures delivery excellence is a key differentiator in both customer retention and growth. The role demands domain expertise, a command over business dynamics, and a visionary approach to scaling and delivering impact for customers. This role drives transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable delivery across geographies, service lines, and client portfolios.
The VDL partners closely with the Global Business Head (GBH) to mobilize cross-functional teams, scale delivery, and ensure client satisfaction, margin realization, and execution readiness for strategic pursuits. A core focus is developing future delivery leaders and fostering a high-performance, innovation-led culture.
Candidate Profile -
The individual must demonstrate expertise in managing large projects, global teams across multiple regions, high level sales, and customer relationship management. They should have a strong understanding of their field of work. They should inspire confidence and become a trusted partner and advisor to key customer contacts. This role requires close collaboration with senior sales leaders, and therefore, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Key Responsibilities Delivery Excellence -

  • Build successful VBUs to deliver sustainable revenue and margin expansion, partnering with GBH to identify new revenue streams and expanding delivery-led opportunities to achieve margin targets.
  • Support business leaders in L3/L4 pursuits by providing delivery architecture, capability readiness, and governance to secure strategic wins.
  • Implement metrics and governance to measure performance and calibrate underperforming units.
  • Optimize vertical delivery operations through continuous improvements, cross utilization of talent across VBUs & VAUs, process enhancements and modernization initiatives.
Customer Engagement -
  • Drive agile customer responses (
1 week) & customer contact plan with trackable action plans to improve customer satisfaction and strengthen delivery credibility.
  • Cultivate high-impact strategic relationships with CXOs, Presidents, and Engineering Heads to position Quest Global as a Trusted Thinking Partner.
  • Amplify visibility and domain expertise externally by serving as a Brand Ambassador in the industry, highlighting Quest Global success stories, differentiation, and innovation.
  • Ensure delivery readiness & success for New Business Development (NBD/F130) accounts by providing appropriate leadership, necessary capabilities, and effective infrastructure.
Strategic Planning -
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking delivery & resourcing strategy which encompasses organizational goals, vertical goals and customer expectations. Drive proactive planning frameworks and governance rhythms to ensure delivery readiness, agility, and compliance.
  • Identify and build new capabilities based on industry trends and customer needs, aligning with StrAP. Create tools & IPs, collaborating with technology and vertical leaders creating tools and IPs. Talent Development - o Identify and develop future leaders within the vertical through high-potential identification, succession planning, and ongoing development feedback.
Team Leadership -
  • Empower and elevate VBU leadership, ensuring the right capabilities & capacity are deployed to meet customer needs & organizational goals.
  • Inspire confidence, discipline, and motivation across the VBU to foster ownership and commitment toward vertical goals. Enterprise Collaboration & Alignment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with BET, PMO, People & Culture, Leadership Development, Technology Excellence Group, etc. to align strategic objectives and enhance business performance.
Change Leadership -
  • Champion strategic transformation by driving adaptability and execution discipline, leading change initiatives with conviction to align the vertical with evolving priorities.
  • Serve as the crisis leader for the vertical, stepping into operational roles when needed to stabilize and guide teams through disruptions with composure and agility.
