The Vendor Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing Shaips global partner ecosystem. The role also plays a key part in building and expanding Shaips contributor community through social channels and engagement initiatives. This includes managing relationships with partners, supporting project readiness, and strengthening Shaip's presence across digital platforms.
The position requires excellent communication, relationship handling, market research, negotiation, and community management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner Acquisition & Onboarding
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners across domains such as audio, video, image, healthcare, transcription, and SMEs.
Conduct due diligence, capability assessment, and documentation verification prior to onboarding.
Maintain and update partner profiles in the VMS portal, ensuring complete compliance documentation.
Build and strengthen institutional partnerships with universities, colleges, and training institutes to support contributor and intern pools.
2. Partner Relationship Management
Manage ongoing communication with partners regarding capacity, expertise, readiness, and scope alignment.
Share project requirements, capability details, and sample expectations with partners.
Coordinate sample submissions, capability validation, commercial discussions, and partner selection for projects.
Track partner performance and ensure clarity of communication throughout project cycles.
Ensure partners are fully aligned before project handover to the delivery team.
3. Community Growth & Engagement
Build and grow Shaip's contributor community through digital channels such as
Discord, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social platforms
.
Develop and execute communication campaigns to keep contributors engaged and active.
Coordinate community announcements, updates, contests, reward activities, and engagement programs.
Identify and collaborate with crowd-oriented platforms and communities to expand Shaip's reach.
Monitor engagement levels across platforms and support growth initiatives.
Respond to community queries and provide relevant information, support, or redirection.
4. Social Media & Outreach Activities
Create and manage outreach messages for platforms such as LinkedIn, Discord, Instagram, and targeted mailing lists.
Draft posts, updates, and communication content that promote crowdsourcing opportunities and partner collaboration.
Support Shaip's brand presence on professional and social platforms by sharing updates, project opportunities, and community programs.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure social messaging aligns with project or contributor requirements.
Maintain consistency in communication tone and accuracy across different channels.
5. Operational Coordination & Process Management
Prepare planning sheets and alignment notes prior to internal project kickoff meetings.
Maintain daily trackers, weekly dashboards, and monthly performance records for partner onboarding and community growth.
Ensure the VMS portal is always updated with partner information, project details, documentation, and communication logs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as workflow updates, process automation, and outreach optimization.
Coordinate closely with sourcing specialists, community leads, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution.
6. Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
Work with delivery teams to align partner capabilities with live project needs.
Collaborate with Learning & Development for training timelines and partner readiness.
Support pre-sales by coordinating partner sample reviews and internal sample creation.
Participate in planning calls, status updates, and strategy discussions with leadership.
Skills & Competencies Required

Ability to drive community engagement and grow contributor networks.
Good understanding of AI/ML data categories and partner capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, partners, and platforms simultaneously.
Analytical skills for tracking performance, reviewing dashboards, and maintaining reports.
Experience with VMS systems, CRM tools, or outreach automation tools (preferred).
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
4-7 years experience in partnerships, sourcing, community management, or operations.
Experience with crowdsourcing, digital community building, or AI/ML data ecosystems is an advantage.
