The Vendor Manager - Procurement is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors. This role ensures that all procurement activities support the organization's operational and financial goals by maintaining high-quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, service, and delivery capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure the best value.
Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., engineering, finance, logistics) to understand procurement needs.
Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously analyze market trends to identify new sourcing opportunities.
Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-saving initiatives are implemented.
Conduct regular audits of vendors and procurement processes.
